July Favorites

So where I live July has been hot and humid and icky (well to me anyways). I havn’t been wearing much make up or hair products. Usually, I shower earlier in the day and then just let my hair air dry. And I have also been using beauty products very minimally. This is a short list but I still wanted to do one. Enjoy!
MAC Fix+: I love this stuff. I always keep it in my bag. I love to use it during the day as a refresher. Another thing that I like using it for is after the gym, when I’ve had a hard work out I just spray this on my face and I don’t feel so icky from all the sweat.
Pink Body Lotion in Vanilla and Shea Butter: I got this during the Semi Annual sale, it was only $3. I think they have discontinued it and honest this is so sad. I think this used to be in their organic line. I think that it was called nourishing. This stuff smells amazing!!! It smells like cake frosting. I love to put this all over my skin after I hop out of the shower. I also love it because it’s a very light weight lotion. If you can find this, pick it up.
Flip flops: I love these in the summer. I really love the ones from Old Navy. They come in so many colors and it is such a good value. I just simply love these. They have been my go to shoes this month.
What I’m Looking Forward To:
School Starting: I love school. I think I have always been the kid who loved going back to school. I love going back to school shopping and the first day. I’m just excited to be going back after not taking any summer classes.
Fall: I love fall. The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are changing colors (well depending on where you live), and the fashion. I love neutral colors, so fall fashion is my favorite. I also love the layered look with sweaters and scarves. Also my birthday is in the fall.
Getting my Macbook: I feel so behind, everyone I know has a Macbook. Not that I don’t enjoy the computer that I have, it’s just on its last leg I feel. Saving money is hard when you love to shop, but I understand this is something that I want and need so I will have to make it work!

Tiny Rant/Revelation

So, have you ever really wanted something but have the hardest time saving up for it because there are so many things that you think are important that get in the way of you buying it. This happens to me all the time. My laptop is a piece of poo. I would have to have the white Macbook because its so cute and easy to carry around for school. This laptop is over $1000 and where has the money gone that I wanted to use for it…to make up more importantly MAC. Now don’t get me wrong, I love MAC. I think MAC is a great company and they have great products and I love them. But, mostly all of the makeup I own is MAC and let me tell you, that all adds up. Now shouldn’t someone who needs a new laptop be using that hard-earned cash to get a new one…nope she’s buying 3 $14 lipsticks because they will just complete her life. My fall semester starts in less than a month and I am still using this laptop that overheats, crashes, will just randomly restart when it feels like it and has scary noises sometimes. I am putting myself on a mini MAC/high end make up ban. There are so many other brands and products out there that I am not opening myself up to. So I am going to start to try being more money conscious when it comes to beauty products because I feel like you don’t need to spend that much to have the pay off you get with high end products.
I just need to keep reminding myself, my laptop is what I need. I can get through the month without buying another MAC product. I can get the laptop to get the good grades to get the awesome job where I can just buy whatever I want. And with this new "ban" I'll be able to save my money and buy the things I really need.
I will definitely be posting more reviews and more updates on how I’m doing with this.

Update

So it has been so long since I last updated my blog. Well I have been working a lot this summer. I can’t work a lot during the school year because I have school Monday – Thursday. I work a lot in the summer so I can save so when I go to school in the fall I can afford to work less hours. That is not a good reason for not updating my blog but it is the true reason.
So I have been thinking a lot about blogs that I would like to be doing. I deffinatly want to do a back to school blog series. Fall is my favorite time of the year so I will deffinetly be having some fashion and beauty essentials up. I want to try to get some more product reviews up and some more fun tags as well. I promise to not neglect my blog like this every again!!!

June Favorites

 Here are my June favorites....Enjoy!

L’Oreal 360 Go Clean Deep Cream Cleanser – This has actually been my everyday face wash and I love it. It just makes my face feel so clean. I love the scrubber that comes with it, I feel like it helps clean out my pores more. I still want to buy the other two that are in this line the regular face wash and the exfoliater one.
Sweet Little Lies – this is Lauren Conrad’s second book in her LA Candy series. I seriously read this book in a few days. I could have done it in two, it was such a quick read and I loved it. I am sad that I have to wait till October for the third one. I recommend this series to anyone who is looking for a juicy series to get into.
Pretty Little Liars – I love this show. I have gotten so many people hooked on this show. Personally, I think this is the best show that has been on ABC Family in a while. This has been the show I have been watching on Tuesdays in place of Glee. I love this show; it’s always keeping me on my toes. I have heard that this is also a series of books that I would love to read but I want to wait for this season to be over so I don’t spoil the show for myself.
Pandora Radio – I know this has been around for awhile but I have just stumbled on it recently and I think that it’s great. I love how it just makes a radio station for what you just want to hear. Sure the commercials every couple of songs is annoying but I think that this is awesome. Another plus is that it’s free.
Hipness Blush – This is from MAC’s To the Beach collection. I love this blush. It’s a pinky peach and I think that it’s great for summer. I know that this is sold out online, but I went to my MAC counter today and they still had it. I think that this is a great blush for the summer; I also think that it will look great with sun kissed skin. This was one of my must haves from that collection.
Lazy Days Lipstick – This was another one of my must haves from this collection. I love this lipstick lately. I have been wearing it alone and under a few lip glosses I have. I think that this is a perfect summer pink lip. It does remind me a lot of Crème Cup from MAC, which was my first MAC lipstick ever so it will always hold a special place in my heart. But I do like this for summer, I have been wearing it every day so I’ll probably only have it for summer. I also saw that this was still available at my MAC counter. I think if you don’t have it you should go pick it up because it will be a great color to have.
Twilight Saga: Eclipse – OMG!!!! Yes I went to the midnight showing and I loved it. The theater that I went to was showing Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. It was such a good deal. Twilight started at 7 so you got to watch that, then New Moon, the Eclipse at midnight! I don’t want to say anything to spoil it for someone who hasn’t seen it yet. This was the best movie yet! If you haven’t seen it then go, trust me you will not be disappointed.

What I'm Looking Forward To in July:
MAC In the Grove Collection – I have a friend who is a MAC artist and she let me play around with some of the products that will be coming out. I love the mineralized eye shadows they are so much better than the previous formulas. They are very smooth, not clumpy at all. I also can’t wait for the MSFs because they all look amazing. This collection launches on the 7th.
Going to see Eclipse again – yes again!!! I loved it...what else can I say.

Nail of the Day: Essie's Pop Art Pink

This is my first NOTD post. I usually change my polish every week so this is in a sense the nail polish of the week. I do my nails at home; I don’t see the point in going in and getting them done at salons. I do like to pamper myself from time to time though, so sometimes I will go and get a mani and pedi but those trips are usually rare.

This week I have on a Pop Art Pink by Essie and its from Essie’s The Art of Spring Collection. I simply adore this color. It is a great pale pink. I do have three coats of it on though. The initial coat was very sheer, but after the second coat, you do get a color pay off. I just like three because I fell as if the two coats are semi streaky so I just live to even everything out. I have this color on my toes too with 3 coats as well. The only downfall I see to it is I feel like it dries soft. This might be because of the 3 coats or the fact that my top coat is old and I’m in need a new one. I just feel like if I do hit my nails on something I have knicks. Also, when I touch it with my other nail, I feel like its cutting through the polish. This post has now turned into a mini review. I do like this color and wear it a lot, I will just have to try it with a new top coat and maybe that will do the trick. In all, I think that this is a great color but I’m not too fond on the polish formulation itself.

Review: L’oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Cream Cleanser

So I had saw a lot of people talking about this face wash and I wanted to give it a try. I saw that it was around $6 and was a little indecisive about it. I am a coupon clipper and proud of every penny I save. I saw that there was a coupon in my Sunday paper a while ago for $1 off any L’oreal product. So after I had gotten that I went to my local Target and purchase it. It was also on sale for around $4 I think and with the coupon, I only spent around $3 for it. So to me this was a great deal. I initially only got this one because of two reasons. One was because it was pink. The other was because I have a daily face wash that I had been using and this was a cream. I have dry combination skin so I thought the cream cleanser would be good for me and rehydrate my skin while being a deep cleanser. So I picked it up and read more about it. It says that it helps clean pore by pore and make them visibly smaller. So after seeing this I knew that I needed it.
I have used this cleanser about 5 times now and I absolutely love it. I think that it’s the best cleanser I have ever used. The little scrubbie thing is great to. I really feel like its working in to my skin with that. The cleanser has a tingly feeling and I think that really helps me to know that I am getting a deep clean. As far as my pores, I do think that there is an improvement to them. They look smaller and I feel like its really helped with the blackheads that I had in my T-zone. I also like the smell the cleanser has to it. I also have noticed that I can just use it at night when I get home from a long day and not only does it clean off all my make up from the day, it also really refreshes my face.
I would recommend this to everyone. Before this, I have never tried any of their products before and I love these face washes. I plan to buy the orange one, which is the exfoliater and the green one which is the daily cleanser. I will also do a review on the other ones when I get them. I also want to try out other products that they carry so if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.
